Do schools kill creativity? | Sir Ken Robinson After watching Sir Kenneth Robinson's ideas about roll of creativity in education, we concluded that as educators, we do not know what is going to happen and that we do not know what the future is going to be like. Several themes emerged as a result of the discussion: Talent vs. School System Creativity = Literacy Children = Creativity There is also a hierarchy of Subjects Education, as it is today, remains disembodied Academic ability is primarily geared towards industrialization There is a correlation between technology, population explosion and academic/degree inflation The conclusion is that intelligence is: Diverse Dynamic Distinct The students were invited to write a group proposal explaining how they would change instruction in regards to: Class setting Goals and Objectives of the Class What would they prioritize What Style of instruction would they use How would they balance the use of technology with...
