Installation art  is a term generally used to describe artwork located in a three-dimensional interior space as the word " install " means putting something inside of something else.  A three-dimensional artwork meas to transform a viewer's experience of an interior space, through a combination of mediums, interactivity, and immersive elements. On the other hand, assemblage is a  three-dimensional work of art made from combinations of materials including found objects or non-traditional art materials. R eadymades, first introduced as an art element by Marcel Duchamp, are ordinary manufactured objects that the artist selects and modifies as an antidote to what Duchamp called "retinal art." Retinal art is a term that Duchamp used to describe  work that was “in the service of the mind,” as opposed to a purely “ retinal ”  art , intended only to please.
